The Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 equally prioritizes both comfort and sound, making it an ideal product for anyone looking for great headphones.
The Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 are the latest headphones from the company's popular ANC (active noise-canceling) line of products. As expected from an established brand like Skullcandy, the new Crusher ANC 2 provides excellent comfort and great sound. But impressively, both elements seem to be prioritized equally - meaning prospective buyers won't have to sacrifice one for the other.
The Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 comes with a padded carrying case for storage and travel. It also includes a USB cable for charging and an AUX cable (for when Bluetooth capabilities aren't an option or aren't preferred). There's also a helpful Quick Start Guide on the box, but a more in-depth User Guide can be found inside. The headphones come with a charge already, for anyone looking to use them right away. Users can also download Skullcandy's Skull-iQ app to check for the latest firmware updates and customize their listening experience.
The Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 comes with "Find with Tile" capabilities if users install the Tile app on their phone, which can be useful when the headphones get misplaced and add more peace of mind as well. And, if the Spotify app is installed, the headphones have a helpful "One Touch" feature that directly connects users to Spotify with the touch of a button. There's also the ability to pause and restart sound in order to answer calls - or to flat-out reject the call altogether.
Of course, as the latest addition to the Crusher ANC product line, bass levels are a major selling point here. Users can toggle bass presets on and off, but they can also adjust crusher levels to find a bass level that best suits them. The default bass presets are at 20%, 50%, and 80%. This all comes down to user preferences and the style of music being listened to, of course, but during the review, it seemed like the higher preset worked best for mobile games while lower presets were preferred for listening to Spotify (again, genre will play a factor here).
The battery life for the Skull Candy ANC 2 is shown to be 50 hours, which feels accurate. There's also "rapid-charge" technology, which means it only takes 10 minutes for a 4-hour charge. This is perfect for any last-minute trips or spare-of-the-moment gaming sessions. In terms of sound, the Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 is great, even if the bass can sometimes be overbearing at its lowest level. The noise-canceling capabilities are also excellent. When gaming, the headphones certainly helped to create a more immersive experience since they blocked out all the outside noise.
Thankfully, the Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 headphones don't overlook comfort either. These were worn for hours at a time, multiple days in row, without any kind of discomfort. The cushioned earcups and padded headband are both great, and the slider means it's easy to find the right adjustment. It's rare to find headphones that can deliver on sound quality and comfort, but the Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 has both, making them some of the best on the market.
